February 4, 2014 – The IAFF is sad to report the passing of High Point, NC Local 673 President Todd Martinez, a dedicated union leader, member, husband and father. Martinez, 49, died on Sunday, February 2, after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle with his wife, Melanie. According to the High Point Fire Department, Martinez, a fire equipment operator, died from his injuries at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. The accident is being investigated as a hit and run and a suspect has been arrested, according to WFMY News 2. |
