The St. John’s Fire Fighters Association is very pleased to see that a deal has been struck between the City of St. John’s and the Provincial Government that will see SJRFD provide 911 service to more than 50% of the provinces population.

It is excellent to see cooler heads and logic win the day on this extremely serious issue. The Association would like to thank Mayor O’Keefe and staff, Chief Peach and Premier Davis for working so diligently to ensure the best possible result was reached for the people of this province.

We would particularly like to thank President Cadigan on the marvellous job he did getting the facts out to the general public on this essential service.
