The O’Leary Avenue station opened in the 1970’s. It recently received a major renovation to
update and modernize the building. It currently is staffed with a Captain and 3 firefighters who
operate Engine 5. The district is the closest station to the Province’s only major trauma center
and children’s hospital. Kenmount station includes a large commercial district, industrial center,
schools, and a mixed residential population that has a large wildland interface.
