There were no injuries after a fire caused significant damage to the rear of the Hotel Mount Pearl earlier today. Crews were called to the scene just after 4 p.m. Superintendent Derrick Chafe of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department said they were faced with heavy smoke coming from the kitchen area of the hotel.
