A fire broke out yesterday at the old CEI Club on Hamilton Avenue in St. John’s.

The fire department received a call yesterday evening that smoke was visible from the fourth floor. The fire had started in the basement but since the building is under construction, the smoke travelled to an opening on the fourth floor.
