Two stations from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to the call and found smoke pouring from the eaves and windows of the small bungalow. An attack team entered the front door through thick smoke and hosed down the fire located in the front living room. No one was home at the time. Traffic in the area of Smallwood Drive and Park Avenue was diverted so crews could work on the blaze.
